The WWIC 2007 Conference will be held in at Campus II of the University of Coimbra, in modern conference facilities and close to the historic center of the city. University of Coimbra, established in 1290, is one of the oldest universities in Europe.

Coimbra is located in the central part of Portugal, 120 km south of Porto, 195 km north of Lisbon and 35 km east of the Atlantic coast. It is less than two hours from Lisbon and Porto international airports, which are easily accessible by train, bus or car.

Mostly famous for its University, whose unique atmosphere attracts students from around the world, the city is also known for its monuments, churches, libraries, numerous parks, gardens and nightlife.
